THE EAST RENFREWSHIRE COMMUNITY RUGBY TRUST.
The East Renfrewshire Community Rugby Trust has been established to fund the promotion of rugby within the county. The Trust will promote the sport of Rugby Union with the overall aim of addressing the health and well-being of young people for the benefit of communities in East Renfrewshire including but not limited to Newton Mearns, Barrhead, Neilston and surrounding areas. The Trust delivers activities that will assist young people in developing relevant skills, attitudes and habits at an early age. It will promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, teamwork, cooperation and community pride to young people up to the age of 25 through the provision of rugby-based activities.
To date we have been fortunate the employ the services of Boyd Carswell as a Club Development Officer who will organise and deliver the programme of activities on behalf of the trust.
We have secured support from the Scottish Rugby Union and from East Renfrewshire Council with this initiative and are actively seeking donations to contribute to wards the costs of the Trust.
