WHITECRAIGS 7 - 7 LASSWADE

This was now our third match and by now the coach was beginning to see
what is required at this level to compete. Lasswade fielded an
experienced pack and played through them, had it not been for our
defence and the long protected period spent down in the bottom of the
corner, when we repelled wave after wave of attack, the score could
have read in Lasswade's favour.

We did however score through Stuart Henderson and the kick was
converted by Ryan Moffat. Lasswade scored later with a delicate chip,
neatly collected and an otherwise flawless defence, were found on that
occassion wanting. The try converted would see the scores locked at 7-
7. In the last minute Ryan Moffat attempted a drop goal which was
charged down and a penalty kick which went wide. It was not attractive
rugby to watch and unlike the pre season when everything moved at pace
and was exciting there has been no sign of that yet in this division.

With all that in mind the club is recruiting and hopefully will soon
announce two new arrivals.
