Cambuslang Under 18--3 Whitecraigs under18 -12
Invery blustery and wet conditions Whitecraigs powered their way to a well deserved win in this important game to qualify for the nationals.Whitecraigs pressed from the start only to be frustrated by some poor refereeing, after 20 minutes Cambuslang took the lead with a very good penalty from 35 m from their stand off.Whitecraigs continued to have territorial advantage but squandered several chances with poor finishing until Taylor Deans followed his own hack ahead to score in the corner,Houston failed with the conversion
from near the touchline.Half time Whitecraigs 5 Cambuslang 3.
The second half was fairly similar to the first half but Cambuslang began to look more dangerous with their backs moving the ball well. With 20 mins to go
The Cambuslang (Glasgow) fly half broke clean through with only the Whitecraigs full back to beat ,fortunately Whitecaigs have William Corbett at fullback who made a fantastic try saving tackle. With 8 minutes left Whitecraigs forwards supplied quick ball which created and overlap which Taylor Deans made the most off and scored between the posts, the try was converted by Murray Houston. Overall this was a terrific performance by the 18s who have been outstanding this year with a squad of only 20.
Next game Sat 24th at home against Ayr
