Murray was heavily involved in the Club for nearly fifty years and was a very enthusiastic and popular member.

Whilst rugby was not his first sport, he enjoyed his days in the 2nd and 3rd XV's. Murray then went onto become a referee and did so at a high level. He was well regarded by players, coaches and spectators alike as he had the ability to manage a game with authority but not in an officious manner. Murray was well known at many Clubs across Scotland and always well received when he travelled with the 1st XV.

Murray will much missed by his Spot of Lunch friends and also his longstanding cronies with whom he joined for a pint on a Friday evening.

At the time of writing, funeral details are not available and once known will be posted on the Club web site. Our thoughts and sympathies at this time are with his wife, Fae, son Scott and daughter Joanna.
