Whitecraigs travelled to Aberdeen to face Ellon in the cold, wet, blustery conditions in the East after an early pitch inspection.

Whitecraigs playing into the draft had to work hard to run the ball, kicking seeming near impossible to control or an advantage.

A hat-trick of tries by 18 mins and The Mighty had a 0-15 lead and with another score before halftime and warming margin of 0-22.

Ellon scored early in the second half but with Whitecraigs now playing down wind it added an extra factor for the home team to defend against. The wind increased, the VEO camera blew over and deemed a safety hazard by the referee and was lowered and removed.

Whitecraigs running in three tries in the second half to Ellon’s one gave the far travelled Mighty a five point victory 12-41.

Thanks to the travelling supporters who braved the harsh conditions.

Meanwhile at Whitecraigs The Mighty 2xv were victorious against Allan Glens in a fantastic 28-10 result.
