The visit of Kilmarnock Rugby Club U18’s on Saturday for Match Day 3 of the West Conference, started with a 2 minute silence where the two teams and supporters united to remember Queen Elizabeth ll. The match was played in good spirits and sportsmanship showcasing plenty of big hits from both teams and tries throughout, with two Whitecraigs player’s scoring 3 tries each linking up very effectively. The forwards worked tirelessly to secure the ball allowing our backs to play some fantastic supportive running rugby, displaying impressive passing skills to move the ball to wings in the wide channels. In the first two matches despite good performances early in theseason the boys lost out to two good Biggar and Dunfermline teams. This match the boys put on another good performance with the bonus of a victory. This Saturday the U18’s welcome Dumfries for Match Day 4 in the West Conference for home game that should be a belter.
