That's more like it......Back to traditional Scottish rugby weather, and I guess we parents need to be a little better prepared for the inclement weather ☔️. As usual though, the coaching staff and players were more than well prepared and yet again the team demonstrated that they are progressing week on week, with continued improvement in the core skills of the game.

Given that we were uncontested again this weekend , I feel unable to provide a meaningful match report, however I should mention the direct running of Odran and Kiera, who continually broke tackles, allowing their team to play the game on the front foot, making it almost impossible for the opposition to defend. In addition, Rory M, although having a quiet first quarter, came out rejuvenated after a pep talk from his mum, and had it not been for a slightly dubious refereeing decision would have been over the line for a great try. (Incidentally i didn't see Ali's camera once this weekend.)

Given that we are building up to a visit to Marr in the coming weeks, it is disappointing that that we have had a second week of uncontested opposition, however, as Graeme has alluded to already, the sport does not only strive to grow the next generation of rugby players. It also aims to ensure that each and every player finds enjoyment in the game, and that the up and coming players and young adults are not only helping and respecting their friends and teammates, they are doing the same for the opposition. Before and after the final whistle, that is. I for one often forget that the coaches are also helping us to encourage that ethos within our kids, and for that I'm sure we are all very grateful.

Hope everyone's looking forward to a trip to Scotstoun next weekend and Dave B's not going to lose any sleep over the Boks losing their hooker......
